so this is the week - the final weekend before the move...i must say i am pretty dern proud of myself - bryan and i have only been in 1 fight - i have refrained from raising my voice at the children...i am keeping it calm...ish...anyway - i am not nearly as psycho about it as i have been in the past. i think it comes from living in the same house my entire childhood until i went to college...i never learned how to move...it seemed wrong. but this move seems very right and i am very excited about the fresh start - not very excited about the lack of closets in every room...but excited about the challenge of organization!

so here we are - a new year and a fresh start and it feels good...not crazy stressed out, but good. which is nice to be able to say. so please forgive me if you dont hear from me for a while...and i also would love any ideas as far as dealing with no closets...especially master bdrm...creative ideas...(that means little to no money needed!)

Jon and I have had to get REAL creative with storage solutions in the past. We might have something to offer! We will either need A LOT of photos, or need to plan a trip down.

I could always use a visit to Ikea!

So exciting! Oh my word - I CAN empathize with you! You should see our closets - all I have to say is to use the space UP. For stuff you don't need to get up and down all the time. I bet they are really tall closets, no? Ours are, so Lance put a couple (nothing fancy) old wood shelves up above the hanging clothes and it works. But, it is still hard sometimes. Good luck! A perfect reason to live simply, I always say. ;)

I was meaning to call you last week--now I think I'll leave you alone until you get a little settled, because moving is stressful! Jeremy and I used to fight a lot while moving (and we've done it more than I like)...especially when the dresser drawer of my favorite dresser splintered into pieces on the driveway or when we lost a section of couch on the 5 freeway. Yeah, good times. I look forward to seeing more pictures of your new place!

I can still come by and help keep the kids entertained some time this week if you need me to. Or, if there's any other way I can help please let me know. I'll start scouring through old ready mades for small space storage inspiration...
