so...many of you know that my husband (AKA B-Nyce) is a part of a little group called Pseudo Rebels. well they just released this music video and its one of my faves...it was made at our old house...which makes me both nostalgic and angry that the place was so messy when they shot it! i love donny (AKA DPIII) in this video - him getting hit by the car kills me every time...and B-Nyce on the dog chain...classic...love these guys!

Pseudo Rebels - Kool Fine Lovely Video Release!

i love a good collaboration of artists. This is truely that! PR did this video a long while back...i think i had posted something about this...not sure...can't find it...but hopefully i can find the pictures because i made all the puppet costumes to look like the Pseudo Rebels! Yes! Sweet B was the official stylist of this video. my first stylist cred...this is even before they nailed down their rad sweaters, but they have their style much more dialed in now.

Not only that, but they also collaborated with my uncle Kevin - the infamous puppeteer. Click on his name to view his many creds - most recently he is Warehouse Mouse in the "Imagination Movers" TV series on Disney. He also runs a greeting card site Puppet Greetings. Just keep that in mind in case you haven't sent your Christmas card yet!!

Also - our friend Rachael Swanson is the main girl in the video and our friend Jason Naumann was the director. This was a legit video friends! they had extras and a set and crew and talent...most of whom we have had the pleasure to know since we moved to L.A. back in 2001...oh what a crappy year to move to L.A. and try to start anything...my first job interview out of college was at Dreamworks on Sept 11th...not good. that is beside the point...the point being this awesome video!! enjoy friends!

Pseudo Rebels Live!

The boys have been working extra hard putting together their live show - they had their first full set last week and i was able to go (thanks to a lovely babysitter) and here are some pics from their show in Laguna Beach.

It was a lot of fun - they have a fun show - and even though i have heard their songs about a billion and 5 times it STILL made me get up and dance...what does that tell you?

this is my one of my favorite sweaters that Bryan has on here (above) the little diamond in the middle actually has leather in it...so rad...people just crack up when they walk into a room...its great...they also played last night at The Good Hurt Club in LA and if you are in Long Beach (or close) they are playing at the Shore Ultra Lounge this Friday (tomorrow) and next Friday 10/30 - Please come if you are around - Join the Party!!!

so...a long while back my husband had some crazy notion to get into stop motion animation and created a video. please note that while this may look completely cool and effortless it actually took approximately 6,365 hours for him to complete...which is why i can blog...which is why we work together - he can do this sort of thing....while i absolutely can NOT!!! i love my husband and his detailed-ness...but seriously...please enjoy! and know this is amazingly time-consuming!!! (PS I LOVE the Bionicles dance!) - if you love it join the party!

sweater rap is back...

many of you know (mom) that my husband is in a *band*...i guess its more of a *group* not sure the *correct* term...anyway - they go by Pseudo Rebels - they have very upbeat party music and their slogan is "sweater rap is back"...long-ish story and definitely more to come once they *finally* release their album.

they have been working their pseudo-tushies off on this project and have hired a marketing group to help them with their marketing, image, website, etc. one thing that they told them as a group that their argyle sweaters were too "safe" and they needed to push the envelope...ummmm...(picture me raising my hand fervently in the air) "i'll help!" i have been continually pushing my opinion on them from the beginning...i helped style their smaller co-stars in one of the music videos (again more to post when the album releases) plus i have been styling my amazingly gorgeous husband for his auditions for years...so of course i pushed myself on this job!

i immediately started searching for that perfect sweater and found an amazing one here for bryan. what i loved about the etsy shop Volcanoland is that when i received the package they had written all over it with geometric shapes and wrote "party time excellent" and "stay cool" p.s. in the cool part they used the o's as eyes and drew a happy face. amazingly late 80's...loved it!

not to mention how rad this sweater is! it may or may not be a woman's sweater, but just picture it with the sleeves rolled up and a collered shirt (i am picturing teal) underneath...i think you get the RAD picture i am proposing are you not? i think it cost $14. not bad...and it was such a hit with the other pseudos that they have now designated me as their sweater stylist....oooooohhhh yeah! i accept! and i will deliver!

i never knew people posted video responses to things on youtube. it blows my mind how communities are formed in this new space we are all trying to figure out. this cute little guy lipsyncs his favorite videos in the apple store in NY...he posted one before for the boys and it was so popular he did a follow up...so funny!
